If there were only two candidates, John Breckinridge and Abe Lincoln, for the Election of 1860, I feel like the result of the Election would have been the same. I assume that Lincoln would win because he had 59% of the electoral votes. Even if Breckinridge got Bell and Douglas's votes he would only have 41% of the votes.
